About the festival

Established 1984

Every summer since 1984, Risør has filled the harbor with wooden boats from all over the Nordic region – skates, skiffs and sailboats moored in the middle of town. The festival is an open meeting place for boaters and the public of all ages, with participants and visitors from Norway and abroad.

Festival pass

Three wonderful days by the sea — for a hundred kroner.

Here, the harbor is open and your arms are open. You can stroll among the wooden boats, have a chat on the pier, listen to a concert, watch the regatta or just take things as they come.

It still costs money to fill Risør with bustling life, wooden boats, regattas, exhibitors and more. If you are 16 years old or older, you can buy a festival pass for 100 kroner. That's a hundred kroner that helps us keep the harbor full of glory next year. In addition, it gives you several festival benefits throughout the city.

Not bad for a hundred bucks!
